Screening mechanism and multi-vortices in dual QCD vacuum
The screening effects in a chromodynamic vacuum which act as dual superconductor in the background of the magnetic condensation, have been studied. The colour charge and colour electric flux Screening mechani sm have been investigated and these screening effects are shown to be responsible for the colour confinement in dual QCD. It is also demonstrated that with the transition from the type-Il ...
متن کاملCenter Vortex Model for the Infrared Sector of SU(3) Yang-Mills Theory
The vortex picture of the Yang-Mills vacuum, initially proposed as a possible mechanism of colour confinement, has recently attracted a renewed attention. This is mainly due to the advent of new gauge fixing techniques which permit the detection of center vortex structures directly within lattice Yang-Mills configurations. Numerical studies have revealed that the center projection vortices dete...

متن کاملAbelian projected SU(2) Yang-Mills action for renormalisation group flows
The dual Meissner effect scenario of confinement is discussed by studying the low energy regime of SU(2) Yang-Mills in a maximal Abelian gauge. The Abelian projected effective action is computed perturbatively. This serves as an input for a study of the non-perturbative regime, which is undertaken using exact renormalisation group methods. It is argued that the effective action derived here con...

Building on a general variational framework for multi-fluid dynamics, we discuss finite temperature effects in superfluids. The main aim is to provide insight into the modelling of more complex finite temperature superfluid systems, like the mixed neutron superfluid/proton superconductor that is expected in the outer core of a neutron star. Our final results can also (to a certain extent) be us...
